Discrimination
We often hear about discrimination almost in every industry. Even the event industry is not immune to that. It is the most happening platform where you meet people from international to local. It could happen to you or anyone you knew. It could be on the basis of any grounds like gender, race, nationality or disabilities. Despite having many human rights acts and policies to create discrimination and harassment-free in the workplace, there are incidents happening. The Canadian government is stringent with the implementation and set targets with vision. But having ideal goals is different from reality, with a steady increase of migrated people from various parts of the world with different ethnicity, language and race. With multiculturalism, people have different perspectives and practices. The lifestyles and priorities to the values are not same. To ingrain such ideals and make an understanding of its importance is a hard task to achieve but not impossible.
